DMX began rapping in the latter part of the 1990s. He debuted his debut album It's Hot and Hell was Dark the 19th of May, 1998. The album was followed by other releases like... And There Was X and Great Depression Year of the Dog... Redemption of the Beast, Grand Champ. The album, titled ... and Then There Was X was also nominated for a Grammy for the Best Rap Album category in 2001. He has also appeared in films such as Lords of the Street Belly Top Five and Exit Wounds. The Bleeding Romeo must Die Backstage beyond the Law Lockjaw and Fast and Fierce Death Race.
